This is two very nice Hybrid Picking Licks which are 'stolen' from a Guthrie Govan Lesson in the Guitar Techniques Magazine. Both licks are played twice; first slowly, then in a medium/fast tempo (the Bpm is set to 90, which also will be 180 as the lick also is played in double speed). • Lick No. 1: • This is in Gm, in style of guitarists like Duane Allman, Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, and it can be played over this backingtrack: • • D.A. Blues - Original - Free Backingt... • Lick No. 1: • This lick is in A major, and can be used in many different settings, for instance over a blues form. For those of you who have my Electric Guitar Book No. 2, can play the lick over the song called Picking The Blues. And of course you'll have to transpose the licks so that you play it over the three different chords; E, D and E. • Further it can be played over this Free Backingtrack called Tom Jerry (inspired by the great guitarist Tommy Emmanuel and Jerry Reed): • This is yet another blues influenced piece which spiced up with the 'nonstandard' chords F and G major. The Hybrid Picking lick sounds as if it was borrowed from Albert Lee or James Burton.
