Running boards are really helpful in this regard, and Luverne makes some really nice blingy ones for your Nissan NV 3500. This tutorial is how to install the long Luverne MegaStep running boards on your Nissan NV 3500 passenger van. These MegaStep running boards from Luverne do an excellent job at adding value to your vehicle, however, we noticed that some of the measurements from the front wheel well were not quite conducive to where we put our brackets. We don't know why that was the case exactly, but some minor adjustments helped to fix the issue. We only saw measurements for installing this on the passenger side of the Nissan NV 3500. They indicated that you install the 4 brackets from the front wheel well at 21, 37 3/8, 70, 89 (inches). The first three measurements were fine, but the last one (89 inches) was placed in a spot where you couldn't reasonably attach the bracket. It's not real biggy though, you can just move it over. • Although you may want to stick with all the other measurements, for our situation, we decided to install the 4 brackets at: 14, 42, 61, and 86 . • The driver side had a different issue as a part of the air conditioner was sitting right in the way of where our brackets would go. So we placed the brackets at these measurements instead: 14, 48, 84, and 94 (inches). The video will show exactly what you would see under the Nissan NV 3500 and why you would need to adjust it. • Otherwise the installation was surprisingly easy going and I tested out the running boards on the Nissan NV 3500 Passenger Van by jumping up and down on them. They felt VERY sturdy, and we are satisfied customers of Luverne :).
