A brief overview of my experience with the Moverio BT-40 Smart Glasses. • Some additional notes: • Unity - A unity plugin exists for the glasses, though it targets Android. • Sensors - In addition to the ambience and compass/accelerometer/etc, the SDK indicates that there's an API to detect when the user taps on the side of the glasses. This could act like a button press much like it was done on Gear VR. • 3D Mode - Enabling it on a PC or phone splits the incoming video in half and sends each half to a different projector. This is compatible with any side by side video content. • PC Control - A Moverio SDK is available online and comes with compiled binaries for the sample apps within that allow you to control the glasses. • USB C Displayport Adapter - Dell / SUNXI make the UPD2018 PCI-e add-in card for converting a displayport signal into a usb-c DP alt mode signal. If you can't find the card with a full-height bracket, a 3D printable bracket is available here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:480...
