The #Suez #Canal is an artificial waterway in the desert of between the Sinai Peninsula and the African mainland in #Egypt. For the world economy however, it is so much more than that. In 2022, the canal saw 12% of the entire global freight being transported through its waters and for over 150 years now, it has been a vital conduit connecting the world.
