Ramkali Sadd is recited at the Antim Ardaas of a Sikh after his death. Guru Amar Das Ji, before his death, asked all the Saadh Sangat and his relatives to get together and preached them about what to do and how to behave, when he would leave his body for heavenly abode. After his departure from this world, Baba Sundar Ji, who was his great granson, wrote his command in poetry form and titled it SADD . When Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled the Adi Granth, He included the SADD in Raag Ramkali. This is a home recording of Ramkali Sadd by Bibi Gurdev Kaur OBE. • In Sikhism death is considered a natural process; an absolute certainty - an event that will happen sooner or later - an event that is guaranteed to take place; and only happens when the Almighty commands and never otherwise - as a direct result of God's Will or Hukam. To a Sikh, birth and death are closely associated, because they are both part of the cycle of human life. Ava Guvan is seen as transient stage towards Nirvana, which is complete unity with God. Sikhs thus believe in reincarnation. Mourning is therefore discouraged, especially in the case of those who have lived a long and full life. The death ceremony may be split into two parts: Saskar (the cremation) and the Antim Ardas, the final prayer at the end of the Bhog ceremony. • For more info, please visit; sikhnarimanch.com, hdsikhpublishers.com,    / sikhnarimanch   vimeo.com/user3846951/videos • Email; [email protected].
