I've experienced the Mobs not spawning bug for quite some time now. I think I remember it as early as Beta 1.2 or 1.3. It wasn't until I decided to make a base inspired by Docm77's perimeter that I was able to test this issue. Let's take a look at what could potentially be causing this problem and make a conjecture as to why this happens. • • For those who haven't been watching my series, this mob tower is built on the assumption that the mobs not spawning bug is region specific. The center of the mob tower is on the border of four regions. This means that there are four sections of this tower in four regions and chunks.
