Easy smoked turkey on the Traeger smoker. • Here is the recipe for the herb blend: (if you are doing a turkey breast, half this recipe) • 2 Tbsp. dried parsley • 2 Tbsp. dried, ground rosemary • 2 Tbsp. dried sage • 2 Tbsp. dried thyme • 1 Tbsp. lemon pepper • 3 Tbsp of Plowboys Yardbird Seasoning found at http://bbqpitstop.com • Blend all the spices together in a bowl. • Melt one whole stick of real butter and add a Tbsp of Olive oil in a separate bowl • Add one Tbsp of the mixed spices into the butter bowl, stir and inject about 1/3 of the mixture into the turkey. Mix the rest of the spices with the remaining butter and apply under the skin of the turkey and the outside skin. • Cook at 220º estimate 30 minutes per pound (12lbs = 6 hours) Temperature should be 165 in the middle of the breast when finished.
