How to make Turron de Jijona I Spanish nougat Recipe

Turron de Jijona ( Turron de Xixona) t is soft Spanish nougat made with almond paste, white eggs, and honey. • • Ingredients: • 300g of grilled ground almonds • 200g of honey • 100g of sugar • 1 egg white. • Directions: • 1/ In pan Heat honey and sugar • 2/ Meanwhile whisk the egg white until it becomes firm • 3/ Add the egg to mix honey sugar gently stirring constantly • ( ideally off heat ) • 4/ Add the ground almonds and stir continuously until the mixture becomes thick • 5/ Put in a mold lined with parchment paper • 6/ Cool for 24 hours before cutting the Nougat. • • N.B: You can add lemon zest or vanilla for flavor • You can use only honey without sugar ( this I guess the original recipe ) and in this case 300g of honey. • Happy Cooking! • Let me know if you give it a try, don't forget to share it with your friends, and give it a thumbs up if you like it.
