The Qubit® 2.0 Fluorometer quantitates DNA, RNA, and protein with unprecedented accuracy, sensitivity, and simplicity. It is designed for molecular biology labs that work with precious samples that are rare or difficult to process or applications requiring precise measurement such as real-time PCR. More accurate than UV absorbance readings, Higher sensitivity - uses as little as 1 µL of sample, An intuitive, integrated system - sophisticated quantitation in 5 minutes or less. • The other videos in this series are: • Introduction to the steps of the qPCR workflow (qPCR step 1): •    • Introduction to the steps of the qPCR...   • Isolate RNA with the PureLink™ RNA Mini Kit (qPCR step 2):    • Isolate RNA with the PureLink™ RNA Mi...   • Superscript Vilo cDNA synthesis kit (qPCR step 4): •    • Superscript Vilo cDNA synthesis kit (...   • Fast SYBR Green vs. TaqMan® Fast Advanced Master Mix (qPCR step 5): •    • Fast SYBR Green vs. TaqMan® Fast Adva...   • Amplify Sample with The StepOnePlus™ Real Time System (qPCR step 6): •    • Amplify Sample with The StepOnePlus™ ...   • Preparing the card for the Viia™ 7 with TaqMan® Assays (qPCR step 7): •    • Preparing the card for the Viia™ 7 wi...   • Amplify sample with the Viia™ 7 Real-Time PCR system (qPCR step 8): •    • Amplify sample with the Viia™ 7 Real-...   • --------------- • Transcript: • And proceeding with our life technologies, QPCR unboxing videos, we are now ready to quantitate the RNA. In this box, I have the Qubit 2.0 Fluorometer. Let's open it up. We have 3 pieces of paper. One is our quick reference card, so that we understand how to do the Qubit assays. • 2, the packing slip, and 3, a certificate of conformity. Now let's get down to the Qubit. We'll take off the foam. • Take out the Qubit. Set it down right here. • Our USB drive we'll keep here. And this box here has our power supply. • Move this over here. Now what you'll find in the power supply box is your power supply with a bunch of different plugs. So, this is very nice. If you ever move countries, you'll be able to use the Qubit and take it with you. We'll use the one in the U.S. today. We'll just very easily.Pop it on here.Ready to go.Plug this in here. And plug in our Qubit. There we are. • Now, The Qubit will turn on. • And it will say that we can choose our assay, either DNA, RNA, or protein. Since we're working with RNA today. • We've created our RNA standards according to the instructions on the quick reference part, and therein the recommended RNA reference ranges. Now we're going to start with reading our standards. So, we'll open the Qubit, insert standard 1 and press read. Simple enough. Now let's go to standard 2, insert into the Qubit, press read and simple enough. We've got our standards done. Let's now read. • Our sample. Inserts, read. Simple enough. 232 nanograms per mil, which is exactly within range of what we were expecting. What comes next? You press the data. And here what we can do, we can set the date, set the time, rename our sample. What ever you'd like to do. But what I'm going to do is just make it really easy. Take out my USB drive, insert right here, and press the USB icon to save my readings. • And that's as simple as that. We have, are done with the Qubit, done quantitating our RNA and ready to move on into cDNA synthesis. • For more information, please visit: http://www.invitrogen.com/site/us/en/...
