In this video, we take you on a virtual stroll of Ghent, a historic and romantic city in Belgium. • Our walk starts in St Michael's bridge with a 360 degree view of stunning architecture and romantic facade. Facing the bridge is Graslei and Korenlei, occupying each bank of the river Lei. This seems to be the hub of tourists and locals in the city with plenty of bars and restaurants occupying the romantic and historic buildings. You can catch the boat tours here or just relax and people watch by the river banks. Ghent is a city of sky scraping spires. There are plenty of churches to visit, the most notable ones are St Bavo's Cathedral, St Nicholas Church and The Belfry, a Unesco World Heritage site. Fitting right in with the old buildings is the very modern City Pavilion. This multi function building combines a striking combination of wood, glass and concrete. We also strolled through Graffiti alley, a strip full of spray can painted street art. Finally, our stroll in Ghent ends in the Castle of Counts. A fortress with origin dating back to the Roman times.
