Steven Campbell emerged as the leading figure of a group of Scottish figurative painters who began to exhibit their work in the early 1980s. Campbell’s distinctive painting style, often has a surreal and mysterious quality to his work. His last major exhibition was 'The Caravan Club' in 2002, at the Talbot Rice Gallery in Edinburgh. He died on 15 August 2007. • In this film we take a closer work at Campbell's work, ‘On Form and Fiction’ (1990), originally staged at Glasgow's Third Eye Centre and re-installed at the National Galleries of Scotland for GENERATION: 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland. • Read more about Steven Campbell: https://bit.ly/2NO0FCY
