This IR Sensor works on 5 volts and can be directly interfaced to any Microcontroller, ESP8266, ESP32, Arduino and even Raspberry Pi. The E18-D80nk sensor has an adjustable sensing distance from 3 cm to 80 cm and this sensing distance can be easily adjusted using the trim pot (multiturn Potentiometer) at the based of the E18 sensor. • The E18 IR Sensor works as a proximity switch i.e. the output is digital (High when no obstacle LOW when Obstacle is detected) thus making it easy to interface with any 5 volts digital circuit. • In this video we have shown how to interface the E18 Sensor directly to a Isolated 1 channel Relay Module. This can be used to make Automatic Hand sanitizer.
