When Michael Knight is double-crossed during a hostage rescue, KITT takes it upon himself to rescue his partner, but not without having a little fun at the expense of Michael's captors. • A WORD FROM CHRIS • I was always a fan of Knight Rider, ever since I was a kid. But never in a million years did I think I would have an opportunity to actually make my own Knight Rider story with the actual car. Sure it was a replica, but it was about as screen accurate as you can get. • I rented the car from this awesome page on Facebook- / rent.kitt It's insanely affordable, and if you're a fan of Knight Rider, and live in the LA area, you're gonna want to check this guy out. • I filmed the entire short in one night, in Long Beach. It was a super simple idea. I'm a huge John Carpenter fan, and if you know your horror, then you know that this is more or less an homage to the 1983 film- Christine. I knew if I did was going to do a Knight Rider short, it was going to be about KITT. He's really the star of the show, whether Hassellhoff admits it or not. • The idea was to just do a present day Knight Rider. No fancy reimaginings like the failed 2008 TV movie. Just Michael and KITT operating in modern day. As for the Christine homage, I knew if KITT were real, he'd know all there is about famous TV and movie cars. I imagine him viewing them as automotive celebrities. And since KITT has always been a bit sassy, I figured it would be natural for him to try and recreate Christine's first revenge kill.
