The 2024 Honda CR-V arrives with a few key updates that enhance its appeal as a practical and fuel-efficient compact crossover SUV. The continuously variable transmission works well, providing simulated gear changes when pressed. Steering is precise and nicely weighted. While not the most engaging to drive, the CR-V has a well-tuned chassis that confidently takes on curves. Available all-wheel drive enhances traction in slippery conditions. • • Inside, passengers are treated to spacious and comfortable accommodations. The driver faces a stylish cockpit with intuitive controls. Nicely padded seats and ample headroom give both rows an airy feel. With the rear seats up, cargo space measures a useful 36.3 cubic feet. Fold them down and you get 75.8 cubic feet for hauling bulky items. • • All CR-Vs come loaded with cutting-edge driver assists like forward collision warning, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
