Surface tension makes the surface of liquid looks like an elastic skin in a state of tension. • Any line drawn on the surface is staggered on by two equal and opposite forces. As an analogy, if we cut the skin of a blown-up balloon, the rubber draws away from the cut due to the action of the two forces. • In this video we shown another example in the case of a loop of thread in a soap film.
