I am trying to push myself outside of the Western comfort zone. • In the fall of 2023 I decided to walk 18km to church and back It was a cool and pleasant walk. • I shared with a friend that I would walk each season to church. In the winter I would pick the coldest day. On Jan. 14 the Edmonton temperature dipped to -40. I had a choice on Jan. 13 to make. Will I walk or will I drive. I chose to walk. I watched a few YT videos about clothing prep, had an emergency plan and was in contact with family every 45 minutes or so. • So many great lessons were learned! • Being prepared and having a plan is fantastic!
