Samsung Galaxy Buds vs Apple AirPods Pro Honest Comparison

I know some people love Apple and some love Samsung, but I have no affiliation with any brand. These are both pieces of plastic with speakers in them and I want to determine which is better for you, so this will be a totally black and white comparison. Please remember to vote in the comment section. • • Additional review notes: • Touch controls: both have single, double, triple, and tap+hold functions • Galaxy buds+ also have double tap top for volume controls • Galaxy buds+ also allow you to customize touch hold controls to function differently on left and right earbuds. Each can do one of four functions: spotify summon, assistant summon, volume up/down, and toggle between ambient (transparency) modes. • Airpods Pro are less likely to have accidental touches • Airpods cannot summon google assistant • • 1. BASICS: • Airpods Pro cost $250 • Galaxy Buds Plus cost $150 • Airpods are highlighted for their active noise cancellation (ANC) • Galaxy buds are available in multiple colors (white, black, blue, red) while Airpods Pro are only available in white • Comfort - Airpods Pro have a vent and no plastic in your ear (just silicone tip) but the Galxy Buds plus have no stem, and have wing tips, so I think they are both equally comfortable for me • 2. PHYSICAL • Waterproofing: Airpods Pro are rated for IPX4 while Galaxy Buds+ are rated for IPX2 • Fit - 3 ear tips with airpods pro, 3 eartips and 3 wingtips with galaxy buds plus • Battery - Airpods Pro are rated for 4.5 hrs per bud, while Galaxy Buds + are rated for 11 each • Battery (case) - Airpods Pro are rated for 24 hrs total with case, Galaxy Buds + are reated for 22 • Case quality - both are premium, but the airpods clearly have a more expensive build with an aluminum hinge (some report loose hinges though, but mine feels nice) • Buds quality - both feel premium and use similar materials • Aesthetic - I will not comment on this much, but the airpods pro clearly stick out much farther • Airpods Pro case sort of needs to be closed to sit on a table (cannot sit open like the Galaxy’s) • Both have wireless charging capabilities • Charging - Galaxy buds plus use USB-C while Airpods Pro use lightning • Sensors (Airpods Pro) - dual optical sensors, motion detection accelerometer, speech detection accelerometer, dual beaming mics, force sensor • Sensors (Galaxy Buds Plus) - capacitive touch sensor, IR, hall effect sensor, triple mics, accelerometer • Weight - 5.4g airpods pro, 6.3g galaxy buds plus • Weight (case) - 39.6g galaxy buds plus, 45.6g airpods pro • 3. FEATURES • Airpods Pro have active noise cancellation • Both have transparency/passthrough modes, but the Galaxy Buds Plus have four different volumes of passthrough • Galaxy Buds Plus have gaming mode for reduced latency during games • Galaxy Buds have volume controls on the earbuds • 4. SOUND QUALITY (mentioned in video) • 5. MICRPHONE • Airpods Pro have dual beaming microphones • Galaxy Buds Plus have one interior and two exterior mics on each bud • Airpods Pro have speech detection accelerometer • Call quality test in noisy environment and call quality test in studio • OPERATING SYSTEMS: • If you use Android, the airpods pro will work as follows: • You will be able to use transparency mode and ANC (controlling on the earbuds though, not on the phone like you can with an iphone) • You won’t get siri obviously, or any • CONCLUSION: • That was a lot of info, but in conclusion, the galaxy buds plus are a nice pair of midrange earbuds with a very wide feature set. That means that these will offer excellent customization for almost everyone, they fit nicely, have excellent audio quality, and a very long battery life. These work well for Apple or Android users who want great, compact earbuds in one of four colors.
