Real Time Plate Tectonics Simulation

Real time 2D plate tectonics simulation running on Pentium 4 CPU and 1 GB RAM. The simulation splits the lithosprehe into random plates and moves them around. Colliding continents are merged together and old oceanic crust subducts under lighter material. The result is a map with coastal mountain ranges, island chains and thick mid-continental mountain belts. • The simulation is part of my Bachelor of Engineering thesis in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland.
