Our moderator Lisa Kestel goes on a tour of discovery through beautiful Mainz, the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate. In front of the city is the largest German wine-growing region, Rheinhessen. It is not for nothing that Woi and a lot of Schoppen accompany the people of Mainz every day. Around 220,000 people live here and are only a bridge away from the next federal state and the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden. The Meenzer not only flourish in their crazy carnival season, science also plays a major role for them. In 2011, Mainz was named the City of Science.
