Cleaning Large Coils with CoilPro

Bryan demonstrates an effective way of cleaning large coils in commercial applications with CoilPro from Goodway. The unit in this video has a microchannel coil, which is sensitive to pressure and easily damaged. • The goal of coil cleaning is to get all of the soil out without damaging the coil. Hoses sometimes aren't sufficient enough for cleaning commercial units, so the CoilPro is a safe alternative to the hose that applies a bit more pressure (but not too much). • The CoilPro comes with a pressure adjustment, a pickup hose for the cleaner, and a pickup tube extension to get deep inside the cleaner. In this video, we use the Goodway CoilShine cleaner, which is a mild chemical that's safe for use on microchannel. (Normally, microchannel coils just need a rinse with water, and coil cleaner should only be used in extreme cases.) • Goodway: https://www.goodway.com/ • Read all the tech tips, take the quizzes, and find our handy calculators at https://www.hvacrschool.com/
