Most of Perth's on grid power has been generated by the Muja power plant that is located near Collie. The area around Collie is W.A.'s most important coal production area. Unlike other coal towns overseas, Collie is most attractive. The surrounding area includes Wellington Dam and the Collie River winds it's way west towards Australind.
