Join me and Bez on a walk to look at how Yellow rattle can transform a meadow. • Yellow Rattle, Hay shackle or Rhinanthus minor is a parasitic plant that is used to help increase biodiversity in meadows by weakening grass. This then allows a broader range of flowering plants to compete in the meadow with thuggish grasses. Which in turn attract more species of insects, mammals and birds. • It has attractive small yellow flowers and its seed heads of the plant rattle once ripe hence the name Yellow Rattle. • Please like and Subscribe it really encourages us to do more. • For consultancy in the uk see • www.plantrevelations.com • instagram@plantrevelations • facebook@plantrevelations
