Part 2: • Qipao/Cheongsam Part 2/2: The Making • β¨ I've been wanting to make a qipao/cheongsam for almost 10 years now and finally I made one that fits well on me in time for the Lunar New Year. Yay to courage! • I started by modifying a basic sheath dress into a qipao/cheongsam. The muslin mock-up was a definite help in this whole process. I'm now more confident that given a custom dressform of me (aka my stunt double), I can draft it all the way from scratch.
