I usually use pre-cooked isomalt from www.simicakes.com because cooking can be a pain but many have asked me for a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve really clear isomalt when you cook it from RAW isomalt granules. Here is a quick video. It's really simple! You just need Raw Isomalt, distilled water and a candy thermometer for success every time! • Raw Isomalt (affiliate link): http://amzn.to/2oe5Lv8 • Distilled water can be found in most grocery stores. Must be distilled, not purified or drinking water. • Ingredients: • Raw Isomalt • Distilled Water • Supplies: • Candy Thermometer • SUPER CLEAN Stainless Steel Pot • Silmat • Instructions: • In a very clean, nonstick pot, add 1/4 cup distilled water to every cup raw isomalt. • Bring to a boil on medium high heat. • Turn to medium heat and cover with a lid for 5 minutes and simmer. • Take lid off and simmer uncovered until temp reaches 320 degrees F.
