This is a chapter review of AP Stats for Chapter 7 of The Practice of Statistics: Sampling Distributions. • We talk about the difference between sample, population, and sampling distributions and then compare mean, shape, standard deviations for sampling distributions of proportions vs. means including the conditions that need to be met in order to use that info. After a brief concept review, we go over two Free Response problems similar to what might be on your chapter 7 test. • Free response questions covered: • —A brand of water-softener salt comes in packages marked net weight 40 lb. The company that packages the salt claims that the bags contain an average of 40 pounds of salt and the standard deviation is 1.5 pounds. Furthermore, it is known that the weights are approximately normally distributed. • —An opinion poll asks a sample of 500 adults (a SRS) in Texas whether they favor giving parents of school-age children vouchers that can be exchanged for education at any public or private school of their choice. Each school would be paid by the government on the basis of how many vouchers it collected. Suppose that in fact 45% of the population favor this idea. • Download the review sheet here: • https://drive.google.com/file/d/17gss... • • For more detailed videos on each of these topics, see detailed class videos • 7.1.1 Sampling Distributions:    • AP Statistics | 7.1.1 | Sampling Dist...   • 7.2.1 Sample Proportions:    • AP Statistics | 7.2.1 | Sample Propor...   • 7.3.1 Sample Means:    • AP Statistics | 7.3.1 | Sample Means   • 7.3.2 Central Limit Theorem:    • AP Statistics | 7.3.2 | The Central L...   • **** • Tired of studying?
