http://www.booniesbikingco.com/2020-k... • I got my KLX110L about 2 weeks ago, and I'm excited to get the review done so I can upgrade some things. The bike cost $2700 and is brand new off the lot. The bike has really impressed me so far but some things do need to be changed to add comfort and performance to the bike. The KLX110L is a bigger version of the KLX 110. With a taller suspension, manual clutch, and a 4th gear the 110L is the big brother for a reason. You can go faster, jump higher, and sprint off the line faster than any other pit bike! Before digging in too much, if you want to watch the video head over here! • The bike is small and if you go from riding a bigger bike down to a 110 you will notice a big difference. The handlebars are almost touching your knees and it's uncomfortable to stand up and ride. The seat makes your ass sore, but the good thing is all of these things can be upgraded to make it unique and more comfortable to ride. • The KLX110L is fast, I got the bike up to 45 mph (72 kmh) and can go faster with some upgrades. Some things to keep in mind is this is a pit bike and is made for young kids. The pit bike is on the rise and people are starting to fall in love with pit biking and jumping these smaller bikes. • Bars • The stock handlebars on the bike are tilted back like they are sitting in your lap. You can adjust them to lean the bars forward but it won't raise them up very much. Which is the first upgrade I am making and for a good reason. When cornering, I put my leg up and sometimes the bars will hit my knees. I came home the first day with a bunch of bruises above my knee and sore legs. Getting taller bars will help you jump, corner, and be more comfortable on the bike. First thing I did was get the tall bars and since this review they have made a world of difference. • Seat • The seat has a very slick design with the Kawasaki green and black cover. It holds very nice and is super durable. The comfortability of the seat is not very good. If you get a couple hours of riding in, your ass will start to get sore and will be for the next day or so. The stock seat sits low causing your knees to be bent. Getting a tall boy seat will make you sit up higher on the bike and give you some more room. Plus the tall boy seat has added cushions to make your ride a little more comfortable. • Foot Pegs / Shifter / Brake • Are they even there? The foot pegs on the stock KLX 100L are an inch wide and should be upgraded for any rider. My foot was slipping off around the first corner. Getting some pegs that are double the width with some more grip will be huge. The pegs are light but they don't do anything for you because they are so small. This is another upgrade you should make after purchasing the bike. • Both the shifter and the brake are very short. When my feet are on the pegs the brake is at my mid foot which feels weird and doesn't work the best. Same with the shifter its short and hard to fit it and get my foot under it after cornering. They work but upgrading them will add comfort and ease of access when riding. This upgrade doesn't have to be right away and can come down the line. • Engine / Exhaust • The engine fires no problem like stated above, I got the bike up to 45 mph which I think is pretty good for a 110. You can get different exhausts for the bike and man do they sound good. The upgraded exhaust isn't needed, but if you do buy one not only do they sound a lot better, they smell better, and give you more acceleration and power. A few buddies have the upgraded exhaust and you can feel a power difference and makes you want to spend the money for one. • Final Review • 2020 Kawasaki KLX110L would I buy it again? In a heartbeat! I love this bike and making it mine with the upgrades is one of my favorite things to do! When buying the bike you should keep in mind that you are going to need to do some upgrades. It's just the facts of buying a bike. You need to make it yours and put some money into it. But, if you do leave it stock, it will do everything you want it to do as a pit bike or racing bike for your kids. The bike is fast and super controlled when riding. It grips and rips. • Boonies Biking Co is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC / Ebay Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
