Level of Difficulty: Advance Sewer • Read for more info about the zipper FAQ and whatnot ^_^ • Hey guys! What do you think about this upcycled diy? Sorry about the out of focus footage bad angles! I'm not used to filming on the table! • FAQ: Can I not put in a zipper and just use the buttons in the front? • Answer: I have tried that before and the problem with it was that the sides of the button hole area opened up and exposed my bra and skin because the crop top was very fitted and tight. Imagine wearing a very tight button up shirt, the buttons look like they're gonna POP! lol. I didn't like the look of that so I went with a zipper in the back. I think the buttons in the front would work if the crop top was a lot looser, but I wanted this to be a fitted crop top :) HOWEVER if you really want the buttons to work out, you can try adding more button holes or if find a shirt that has buttons that are very close together (to keep the sides from lifting and showing skin). My machine doesnt have a button hole maker, plus button holes are kinda on the difficult side to create, which is why I went with the zipper ^_^ • My Sweetheart Bodice Tutorial: • Simple Sweetheart Top Tutorial • Note: I had to adjust the zipper to fit the back because it was too long. I did that by taking out the metal stops at the top of the zipper, and placing them lower. Then I trimmed the zipper to fit the back. • All the stuff I used: • Denim shirt - Savers $4 • Flower buttons - Walmart 79¢ • 7 inch Thin Separating Zipper - Joann's $3.99 • Bleach Spray Bottle - had at home
