Reviewing the Aqua Xtreme X1 Packraft here. Obviously it's a knockoff of the Alpacka Classic raft. • I tried to give the most unbiased review as I could. • Unfortunately, in my opinion the Alpacka rafts are made with much better quality material and are made with better workmanship as well. The seams are sealed much better and the inflatable pillows that are included with Alpaca rafts are of a much greater quality with better workmanship as well. • I would not put your trust or stake your life on an Aqua Xtreme raft. I could take an Alpacka raft out into the backcountry and float for hundreds of miles down a jagged rocky stream... I do not feel confident doing that in my Aqua Xtreme X1 Raft. Their advertisements online are also fairly misleading. The pictures show a much higher quality material than is used in real life. I don't believe that AquaXtreme uses 210d Nylon for their boats. This statistic is highly misleading... The material they use is nowhere near the same quality of similar Alpacka rafts. • The customer service for AquaXtreme was very responsive and helpful at first. But, then when I contacted them about having trouble with my raft they dropped off the face of the earth. • The rating I would give the AquaXtreme X1 is a: 3/10 • Mainly because of the poor/misleading customer service and because of the quality of the material, craftsmanship, and accessories. The only positive review I can give the raft is that the actual bow of the raft is still holding and hasn't popped yet. But, the keyword is yet . I haven't taken it on any rocky rivers or put it through its paces yet to test its durability in extreme conditions... because honestly I am to afraid to for the fear of popping the boat I just spent money on. I would recommend this boat for a situations where you wouldn't encounter any kind of foul conditions. If you need a raft for leisure activities on a small pond, large (non-rocky/non-white water) river, or even perhaps alpine lake wilderness areas then this would be a suitable option. But, for AquaXtreme to advertise this as a raft that can handle white-water or other Xtreme activities... well this is admittedly false advertising. I would recommend saving your money and upgrading to an Alpacka Classic raft for a few hundred more dollars. Don't cut corners on a raft that could either save or end your life. • AquaXtreme X1 LINK: • https://www.aqua-xtreme.com/product-p... • Alpacka Classic LINK: • https://www.alpackaraft.com/rafting/p... • • AquaXtreme X1 Features: • Manufacturing: Israel with no reference to how they are made. • Length – 2.26 m – Width – 98cm • Internal Size – 120cm x 40cm x 30cm • Base Weight : 2.49kg/5lb 9 oz • 210d Urethane-Nylon (single-sided, multiple coating and surface finish) • Double urethane coated 840d nylon floor with V-Tape construction for extra durability • All seams are stitched and sealed with a 25mm/1” seam tape to the deliver the highest durability and ensure the highest quality air holding properties. • Tube diameter: 30cm • 4 bow grab loops • 4 stern grab loops • Standard Fittings - backrest/seat/thigh braces • Available as an open boat ,self bailer or cockpit/spraydeck models • Boston and Hakley Roberts Valves • Free Accessories: Removable/Adjustable baffled comfort seat and adjustable height inflatable backrest or white water backrest, inflation bag, Pack Strap, repair fabric. • • Alpacka Classic Features: • Manufacturing: Made to Order in Mancos, Colorado • Shape: Classic Hull • Tube Diameter: 11.7-inch • Fit: Relaxed (See sizing and specifications) • Valve: Temper assist valve for inflation and deflation • Attachments: 4 bow grab loops, 2 stern grab loops, and 2 strap plates • Seating: Classic Seat Bottom and Inflatable Seat Back • Build Configurations: Open, Whitewater Deck, or Removable WW Deck • Cargo Fly: Optional (Internal dry bags sold separately) • Materials: Proprietary 210-denier high count nylon hull and 840-denier ballistic nylon floor (Made in USA). • Includes: Inflation Bag, Stuff Sack, and Basic Repair Kit • Hull: Proprietary 210-denier high count nylon, single side laminated with pigmented polyurethane film (Made in USA.) • Floor: Proprietary 840-denier ballistics nylon, laminated on both sides with polyurethane film (Made in USA). • Seat: 200-denier oxford nylon, with single side polyurethane laminate (Made in USA). • Accessories: All grab loops and similar attachments are manufactured in house in Mancos, Colorado out of scrap floor materials and USA made webbing.
