What's up Silver Foxes! For tickets, visit CFHSPanthers.com . • As a reminder, students attending our athletic events must have a parent, guardian, or responsible adult with them for the entire game. • • We would like to give a special congratulations to the Carolina Forest JV girls volleyball team for winning the Conway tournament. They went 12 and O in the tournament! Silver foxes Mackenzie Gresset, Ashlyn Childers, and Alyssa Molden are on that team. Congratulations ladies! • Congratulations to Mr. Marc Frechette our TOMS Staff Member of the Week! • Mr. Frechette is new to TOMS this year. He teaches Discovery classes FOC1, FOC2 and Intro to Careers. • His favorite memory of middle school was going undefeated in football during his eighth grade season. During the season he scored on a 60 yd screen pass and celebrated a little too excessively. The varsity coach happened to be at the game and gave him advice that he carried with him throughout his playing career, and as a coach. Always carry yourself with respect and dignity because you represent everyone who played, coached or cheered for the team. Be humble and work hard. Play the game and don't let the game play you. • My advice to my middle school self would be... make friends with everyone. Everyone has a story worth listening to and some really need you to hear it. Kindness always wins. • Congratulations to our TOMS Orchestra Program, and their director, Mr. Chad Hammer, on winning the Outstanding Performance Award – Gold Level for the 2023-24 School Year. • This award is given out by the South Carolina Music Educators Association each year and is the culmination of a year long effort to earn points at various SCMEA Events. Students from our 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Orchestras earned points by being selected for Region Orchestra, receiving a Superior rating at Concert Performance Assessment, and receiving multiple Superior ratings at Solo Ensemble Festival. • The Gold Level is the highest version of this award given out by SCMEA. This is the second time in the last three years that the Ten Oaks Orchestra Program has received this award! • Thursday, September 19th, TOMS Esports Team is having an interest meeting in the Orange Collaboration Space after school. • This meeting is mandatory for those interested in trying out for the club. • It will run from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM, and students must have ride ready. Students can see Mr. DeBell or Mrs. Nguyen with any questions. • • Heres this weeks lunch menu: • MONDAY: Orange Chicken Bowl OR Chicken Filet Sandwich with Veggie Nibblersssss!!
