Here I show you how to calculate the length for cuffs, e.g. at the neckline or on the sleeves. The pattern often states 0.7 or 0.8, but unfortunately that's not always true. This is because the cuffs are made of different materials, e.g. cotton, polyester or viscose, with or without elastane and also different percentages such as 2% or 5% elastane. And the stretch factor, i.e. how far the cuff stretches, is as different as the materials are. If the cuff is loose, it sticks out; if it's stretched too much, it curls up.
