Idle fluctuations when headlights are on. What fixed it: http://mk1maintenance.com/replacing-i... • Solutions to diagnose and fix: • 1. Adjust idle screw (on back of intake manifold, facing firewall) • 2. Clean grounding cables (top-right rocker cover, right side engine-bay bulkhead under air cleaner, transmission case). • 3. Replace idle control screw O ring • 4. If above fails, consider replacing Idle Air Control valve (at top left of engine, connected to the strut tower)
