Goochland County Fire-Rescue Chief Eddie Ferguson and Sparky the Fire Dog invite you to kick off Fire Prevention Week (October 9th – 15th) by attending Goochland County Fire-Rescue’s 2022 Fire Rescue Show on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Goochland High School. • They have an evening of family fun planned that includes demonstrations, fire-rescue exhibits, food trucks, and so much more. The Virginia Department of Health and Chickahominy Health District will be on-site offering FREE flu shots. • Bleacher style seating will be available at the show, but guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs. • Primary parking for the Fire Rescue Show will be in front of Goochland High School with overflow parking at Goochland Elementary School, Goochland TECH-Center, Goochland County Administration Complex, and the lower parking lot in front of the Goochland Skatepark. There will be a shuttle bus running from the overflow areas to and from Goochland High School. • Please be aware, the 2022 Fire Rescue Show will end with a short fireworks display similar in size to those at Goochland High School’s Graduation ceremonies. Residents in the vicinity of the Courthouse Village are encouraged to secure their pets or keep them indoors between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. • Make sure to follow Goochland County Fire Rescue on Facebook ( / goochlandfirerescue ) for updates and information on the 2022 Fire Rescue Show.
