This is my red-eared slider turtle tank that I designed for my one turtle, Koopa! He/She (I want it to be a he) lives with other fish: 2 pink zebrafish (GloFish), 2 Siamese algae eaters, and 1 golden algae eater that's hiding under the cliff. The long basking ramp is from Petsmart and the large basking area is DIYed with a large porcelain bowl on top of a terracotta pot that I smashed a hole into. My filtration sources are an under-gravel filter with a pump attached and it turns on only at certain times, as well as the Decorative ReptoFilter, which is on at all times. I got this turtle the day Germany won the World Cup, which was July 13, I believe, so it's been almost a month since I brought Koopa home. I think Koopa is adapting pretty well to the enclosure I designed for it. Note that the substrate is large river rocks, so they're obviously too big to be eaten by my turtle and won't harm him/her! • Music: • Montauk Point, Easy Lemon • By: Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) • Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 • http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...
