Disclaimer: this video is intended to be a reference for patients of REACH. The application of this exercise is based on a thorough assessment from a certified MDT practitioner. • Self-treatment and assessment of thoracic extension are best achieved using a low-back chair. Alternatives are using a foam roll laying down, or a dowel rod standing. • Slide your butt forward or backward to find the correct hinge point of your spine which you are trying to extend (typically the stiffest spot). • Ideally, perform 10 reps about every 2 hours • Check your baselines tests set by your clinician. Do you feel better or worse; more stiff, or less stiff? • If you feel progressively worse and more stiff as a result of this exercise, STOP immediately and consult your clinician • Web: http://www.reachchiro.com • Facebook: / reachrehabchiro • Instagram: / reachrehabchiro • Product Recommendations: https://www.amazon.com/shop/reachreha...
