ACER Aspire 5 A515-51G-30TP laptop disassembly and keyboard replacement • You can donate here: • https://www.buymeacoffee.com/manro • I could have tried hot glue as rivets but I think hot glue is not as good/durable as trimer line plastic. • After keyboard replacement some keys are somewhat lower that the others (Del, Home keys), but these works too and probably i will fix it next time when I will open the case. • ************************************************************************* • Update: November 2, 2021 - Today, after 2 years and 6 months, the keyboard it broke again! • TIP: Do not type with wet hands or type multiple keys in the same time! • I just renaming a file with random keys when the keyboard it broke again by turning laptop off, then I was unable to turning on again for more than 3 seconds (it turn off itself everytime). Temporary fix: disconnect the keyboard cable and use external one.Now I keep it always in sleep mode because otherwise I can't power on (power on key is in the keyboard itself). • ************************************************************************* • My laptop has been upgraded from 4 GB to 8 GB and Samsung 850 EVO SSD (120 GB) replaced default 1TB HDD.
