A collection of my works in 3d graphics. • • 1. ice cube • I modeled the ice cube in Modo 3D, pre-fractured it with a plug-in, and then simulated and rendered it falling in Lightwave 3D with hard dynamics. (February 2003; Personal project) • • 2. goliath • Modeled and rendered with HDRI using Lightwave 3D. Based off of Blizzards Starcraft unit. (Spring 2005; Personal project) • • 3. things in my room • I shot the HDRI off a 2 chrome ball (shown first). I modeled, textured, and animated the soccer ball, tank, command center , and VW New Beetle using Lightwave 3D (shown respectively). I wrote the Lightwave script to animate the tank treads. (Fall 2004; Personal project) • • 4. paperclip • I modeled with Modo 3D, rendered and lit the paperclip with Lightwave 3D. (April 2005; Personal project) • • 5. sony ericsson k700i • I modeled, textured, and animated the k700i dropping, recording the whole process as a teaser for a club. I cleaned up textures found online. Only the modeling and results are shown. (February 2004; Personal project) • • 6. water drop • I simulated the droplet in Realflow 3 and rendered it in Lightwave 3D using HDRI lighting. (Spring 2005; Personal project) • • 7. warm bulb • I modeled the light bulb shown and rendered it in Lightwave 3D using 2 area lights and one point light. Used as a prop in light bulb envy. (February 2003; Personal project) • • 8. light bulb envy • I modeled and key-frame animated the lamp using Lightwave 3D. I envisioned the story and scenes. (February 2003; Personal project) • • 9. crystal cube • I modeled the cube and rendered it in Maxwell Render as a test for refraction. (Spring 2005; Personal project) • • 10. bouncing jello • Using Lightwave 3D soft-body dynamics I simulated the characteristics of the jello bouncing. Modeled, rendered and lit. (Spring 2005; Personal project) • • 11. skeleton test • I rigged the model and his hair with bones in Lightwave 3D and performed an IK test on him. (Spring 2005; Personal project) • • 12. dynamic ambient occlusion • I implemented the ambient occlusion shader in OpenGL, these are real-time results. I textured two planets in Photoshop and then shaded them in HLSL, one of which is shown from game-play footage. (Spring 2008; Group project - Advanced • video game development) • • 14. tires • I modeled and UVed the tires shown in Modo 3D and rendered in Maxwell Render. (Spring 2005; Personal project)
