Seventeen-year-old midfielder Jaelin Howell and 16-year-old forward Sophia Smith have known each other since they were five-years-old. They hail from the same hometown, attend the same high school and play for the same youth club. Their National Team journey began at the Under-14 level and they’ve climbed through the Youth National Team ranks together ever since. Last October, they played together at the U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan, and most recently were both called up to their first camp with the senior team. The best part for these Colorado best friends who have now set their sights on the next U-20 Women’s World Cup?
