How to Dogfight Aggressively in the P-51 Mustang: • How to Dogfight Aggressively in the P... • The P-38 is one of my favorite aircraft to fly in War Thunder, and I see a lot of people not utilizing it to its full potential. The dogfights in this video present examples of the Lightning used aggressively in various dogfights and coming out on top. • The P-38 is not just a passive BnZ aircraft; it has excellent flaps, speed, stall-performance, energy retention, and (with the L Model,) roll-rate. Frankly, it can do almost everything exceptionally well if used properly. • Specifically, the P-38 excels in stall-fights, vertical maneuvers, rope-a-dopes, and long-range head-ons. Combat flaps are deployable up to 500 kph, so use them liberally.
