My 2016 Norco Aurum A 7.2 DH bike. Bought last year, but not gone anywhere extreme yet. bike registered bike and Working on what action cam to get. • YES I KNOW ITS A DOWNHILL BIKE and I don't live near Whistler Mountain Bike Park,,,but I got rid of the spacer on the rear cogs as it came as 7 speed. I added 3 extra gears so I can ride on the flat. it gives me a 1:1 ratio. I had to change the rear mech because it didn't come with Sram X7 type 2 medium cage that most bike shops say it come with. gone to the Zee short cage FR. apparently the short cage Zee DH wont work as the top mech cog rubs the bottom rear cog set. 1 1/2 mm diff in spacing • its the Aluminium bike and iam not bothered about weight. • Below are the bike shop specs with the rear mech changed to what I fitted. The rear wheel can take the 10 speed without change. The chain was also a 10 speed chain and the shifter on the handle bars were also a 10 speed shifter. Only the rear mech that needed attention. All the gear ratios are the same. the bottom 7 gears the original. just an extra 3 large cogs nearer the spokes. The now 4th gear was the original 1st. The chain does have an extreme angle and can de rail on a back pedal, but only in the top 3 gears, but who cares.
