At Montanstahl we can offer different types of surface finishing, learn about all of them here: https://www.montanstahl.com/processin... • This video shows the mechanical process of shotblasting, whereby tiny grains of metal sand are shot against the steel bar, eroding the oxidized exterior and creating a uniform surface. We use it mainly on laser welded profiles towards the end of the production process. The most common surface finishes are: • 🔴 Sandblasted with stainless steel grit • 🔴 Sandblasted with stainless steel grit pickled • 🔴 Sandblasted with stainless steel grit passivated • This process makes our steel and stainless steel bars free of dirt, oil, grease, visible scale, rust, oxides, or other contaminants therefore suitable for use in their current condition or for further processing.
