The adopted son, Amar is an inspector, but Vicky is a criminal, who has no respect for the law. In an attempt to kill Amar, underworld criminal Birju (Danny Denzongpa) guns down Kishan Lal. Amar tries to bring justice for Kishan Lal but fails. He then decides to leave his duty of an inspector and takes the path of crime in order to avenge the death of Kishan Lal.
