National Pollinator Week is coming up on June 17th - June 23rd 2024! Join us to raise awareness about pollinator health and conservation, an annual celebration initiated by @pollinatorpartnership. There are many ways to celebrate and raise awareness. • Today's tip is about creating diverse pollinator spaces. To support a diversity of pollinators, incorporate a diversity of native plant species while also considering plant structural diversity. Including plants of different forms such as groundcovers, flowers, shrubs, and trees helps to create microhabitats. These microhabitats support the different shelter and food needs our pollinators have while also aiding in pollinator climate resiliency. What is your favorite pollinator plant? • ********** • The University of Maryland Extension Home and Garden Information Center's mission is to connect Maryland residents to trusted science-based resources to grow healthy gardens, landscapes, and communities. • Send us your plant and pest questions.
