Tens of thousands of homes are without power and commuters faced severe disruption after Storm Isha battered the UK overnight. • There is disruption on the rails and the roads, as well as flight cancellations after 99mph winds hit vital infrastructure. • A rare Met Office amber warning for winds covering most of the UK expired at 6am, although a lesser yellow warning for wind remains across the whole country until midday. Gusts of 50-60mph are forecast inland.
