Well... hey there faaaam! ...yes, yes... it's been a while. But I promise you, I've got some stories to tell you to make up for the time we've been apart. • It's no coincidence that I chose to cover this song for you guys... life has been taking some spins that have not been small at all. First of all, I am back in Colombia! For how long? I'm not really sure... I'm not gonna lie, these past few months have been a mix of utmost joy and... painful heartbreak. We've been on quite a journey, and after 7 years living in sunny Florida I saw myself having to move back to my homeland, not exactly by choice. But, let's not dwell too much on the negative or sad side of things, because there's still so much to celebrate! • On my side, I celebrate having a body that is healthy and able, a heart that is strong and willing... But most of all, I celebrate having such a great God that constantly cares for me. Today I am here on this earth, and I know I am loved, loved by the people who are just one step away, I am loved by those who are 2,000 miles away, and everyone in between. What a blessing it is that I am able to say that. • It's been a week, and it is still hard to grasp the idea that I am back at my first home. Never did I ever think I would say the sentence I'm leaving home to go home , and for it to actually make sense... It does make sense, right? Or maybe it's the altitude kickin' in. • This song kept me company through the whole trip, and man... what a beautiful thing it is that music and words have that power of becoming your own. There are so many memories left behind, and so much love, that even though the distance and the change hurt deep within... yes... life's been good to me. • So... here's to the past that has taught me so much, to the present that is always challenging me and helping me grow, and to the bright future that only god knows what it holds.
