What I Learned from Crossing the Deadly Ngozumpa Glacier • Today it was a dreadful experience, when we started our journey at 7:25 AM from Thagnak; it was too cold that my hands, nose and feet were numb and unable to shoot anything. When we reached at Ngozumpa glacier we were little bit confused how to cross this to reach Gokyo. Literally there is no visible way to trace the trail. Using maps and our veteran trek leader Mr. Susant Sinhamahaptra helped us to overcome this burden. At 10:30 AM we reached at Gokyo and had lunch there, spent 1 hour in front Gokyo Tso and enjoy mesmerizing beauty for the lifetime. We had no enough time to hike for Gokyo Ri, so missed an epic view from there. • After that we started for Mechchermo and we reached there at 3:00 PM.
