It is hand cranked, but it could be attached to a geared motor for higher volume jobs. It cost about $250 dollars to build and most of that is in the bearings, collars, sprockets, and gears. This machine weighs about 40 lbs, so it can be moved easily by one person. This machine has produced very clean results.
