UTFO is a Brooklyn, New York City, New York group that is mostly known for the song “Roxanne, Roxanne”, which spawned what is known as the “Roxanne Wars”, with 30+ answer songs from over a dozen artists groups. The most notorious answer song is, of course, Roxanne Shanté’s track “Roxanne’s Revenge”, which spawned her career. • The actual Roxanne was a girl named Elease Jack, but she was quickly replaced with Adelaida Martinez, due the fact that Elease’s mother didn’t want her involved in the music industry, with all of the shady stuff that goes on behind the scenes.
