The video is presented by Abhishek Sir, an experienced and qualified teacher in this field. He will explain the process and effects of corrosion, what needs to be done to avoid corrosion, and teach how to answer questions related to corrosion in class 10 chemistry exams. He will also provide detailed illustrations to support the explanations. This video is a valuable resource for any student who wants to improve their understanding of this important topic. • =============================================== • 00:00 Introduction: Corrosion - Metal And Non-Metals • 00:10 Corrosion • 16:59 Website Overview • =============================================== • Why study from Magnet Brains? • Magnet Brains is an online education platform that helps give You NCERT/CBSE curriculum based free full courses from Kindergarten to Class 12th so that you can perform well in any and all exams you give in your academic career. • ๐ Contact us ๐ค๐ค • โก๏ธ Connect with us : [email protected] • โก๏ธ Website : https://www.magnetbrains.com • โก๏ธ Subscribe to us on YouTube: / @magnetbrainseducation • โก๏ธ Subscribe to Magnet Brains Hindi Medium : / @magnetbrainshindimedium • โก๏ธ Facebook : / magnet-brains-education-110955641184512 • โก๏ธ Instagram : / magnetbrains • โก๏ธ Telegram : https://t.me/magnetbrainsbhopal • Check out complete courses: https://www.magnetbrains.com/course/c... • Points covered in this video:- • Corrosion: • It is the slow process of eating away of metal by the reaction of atmospheric air and moisture. • E.g. Rusting of iron, tarnishing of silver, formation of green coating over copper, etc. • Prevention of corrosion- • Corrosion of iron can be prevented by covering the surface of metals with paint, grease, enamel, that does not allow air and moisture to come in contact with it and no corrosion occurs. This is known as barrier protection. • Corrosion of iron i.e rusting can be prevented by galvanization. Zinc metal does not corrode on exposure to air. So zinc coating protect iron from rusting. Zinc itself forms a protective coating of basic zinc carbonate [Zn(OH)2.ZnCO3]. • Rusting can be prevented by coating the surface of iron object with chromium, tin, nickel or aluminium. These metals resist corrosion. Hence, they protect iron from rusting. They may be coated by electroplating. • Corrosion can also be prevented by converting the metals like iron into an alloy with chromium and nickel. This alloy is called stainless steel. • #metalsandnonmetalsclass10 #chemistry #class10chemistry #class10science #boardexam #magnetbrains • Disclaimer: This video is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended to infringe on any copyrights.
