Ramadanman's revision of Jamie Woon's 'Night Air' has been one of this year's by far most heart-melting (dare I say?) ballads in the realm of the contemporary melting-pot of Future Garage / UKF / whatever-have-we UK Bass music. Maybe only really contested by James Blake's 'Limit To Your Love'. Anyway, just as we thought things couldn't get any weepier beautiful, Deadboy steps into the limelight and creates... well, this! True to Woon's original version Deadboy uses the whole vocal and builds a dramatic and soulful post-dubstep melody out of lush swirling 8-bit synths and deep subs and almost 'hesitating' UKF beats laid down in a 'garagey' kinda way, giving the track a nice swing. MASSIVE. • Oh, and (maybe in the spirit of Christmas?) it's up for graps on Deadboy's soundcloud if you don't wanna go all the way and treat yourself with an ultra-limited vinyl copy.
