Sep 5, 2009, Joe’s Pub, New York City. Yumba Efó sang by Angel Guerrero and Pedro Martínez, with percussion by Román Díaz. This Okóbio Enyenisón CD project emerged directly from the 2007 meeting in Paris between an Ékpè and Abakuá group from Nigeria and Cuba, and uses rhythms and song ideas learned from the Calabar delegation, fused with Cuban rumba and Abakuá themes.
